Philleaghly Birds

Philleaghly birds (Philleaghigius pendragonus), according to my late great uncle Elwin, are native to Colorado, being especially well-suited to the mountainous terrain. But I believe they also exist in Lyfandria. They have one leg shorter than the other (in the first picture below it looks like the right leg is a little shorter than the left), making it easier to walk up and down mountains. And their backsides are bald, because they slide down the mountain on them shouting "philleaghly, philleaghly!" They also shout very gleefully as they go down the mountains, and the noise often triggers avalanches.

The Secret Library

Deep below the Glenview Rare Books Library there is a second, secret library, known by those who are aware of its existence as The Underground, which leads into Lyfandria and is the portal through which those who manage to discover the new world first arrive.
